About From Plight to Promise

From Plight to Promise is interest-evoking, conviction-inspiring, and a powerfully irrefutable read. It will introduce to some and enhance for others the knowledge and understanding of a fundamental culture designed to give meaning to reality.

That’s our amazing story as a people, and within our story is his story, and From Plight to Promise tells that compelling story. Acknowledging that our unique experience with its many triumphs and tragedies is still the embodiment of totality.

Because of history’s profound disdain for people of color, he wanted his children to know and understand that in reality there is only one race “the human race,” which has been proven to have originated in Afrika.

He exposed his children to our amazing story to bring truth to their reality and to build character by showing and teaching them the distinctive nature of their Afrikan origin. More specifically, he wanted children of color globally to know and understand that they are so much more than what history has told them they are.

From Plight to Promise is an insightful and compelling narrative intended for all people, because it exposes the changeable and unchangeable nature of life and circumstances, but it also gives the necessary wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to address those circumstances.

About Raymond J. Head

Raymond J. Head

Author

Raymond Head grew up in southern California with his parents and 12 siblings. He is an alumnus of the University of Maryland including their Far East Division in Okinawa, Japan. His studies in Egypt, Ethiopia, and South Afrika were monumental in bringing to life his compelling work, From Plight to Promise.

After owning and operating three successful businesses over his career and the loss of his daughter Meghan, he decided to pursue writing as a way of giving back, by exposing and addressing the variable and invariable nature of life and circumstances.

His extensive research includes traveling to our Ancestral homeland where it all began, making the immense continent of Afrika his specific area of interest. His experience provides valuable insight and firsthand knowledge through eyewitness accounts allowing him to see, touch, and experience things that most people can only read about or imagine.

Raymond currently resides in Stone Mountain, a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia with his wife Tribune of thirty years and their daughters, Alisha and Rachel. His late daughter Meghan is the ultimate reason he writes.

Frequently Asked Questions

General

Prior to the Greeks' use of the word “Egypt,” Afrikans referred to their land as Kemet, the Black Land. Kemet was the strongest term used by the ancients in Pharaonic times to indicate blackness. Kemet literally means the “Land of the Blacks.” The indigenous name for the Northeast Afrikan nation, now called Egypt.

Acknowledging that Afrika is the home of humanity, "our story" is inclusive of all human beings. It is also personal for me, because of history's profound disdain for people of color. Being a Black Man of Afrikan descent with a distinctive past has given me the necessary motivation to expose the true nature of our compelling story.

Our story should be important to everyone, not only because it is the history of Black people, but because it is also the history of a people who have had a profound impact on world civilization.

General Questions

The word Ancestor is not a proper noun that requires capitalization. However, I adamantly choose to do so because in our Afrikan tradition and culture the Ancestors are just that important.

I am alluding to history's intentional disregard to accept or admit the existence or truth of the irrefutable facts concerning the legitimacy of "our story" being the original source of humanity. Thereby, creating an alternate reality designed to control through manipulation and deceptive indoctrination.

My purpose for writing is to tell a compelling story using emotional and impactful language in an attempt to introduce to some and enhance for others the knowledge and inherent understanding of a fundamental culture that was initially designed to give meaning to reality.

It all started long ago, by telling my daughters stories to teach them who they truly are, rather than accepting history's diminished version. More to the point, because of my need to nurture, and Meghan's need to know, accompanied with her willingness to learn, she has given me the necessary motivation to tell the greatest story ever, "our story" and within our story is "my story" From Plight to Promise. Meghan is the ultimate reason I write, and I have also dedicated From Plight to Promise to her because not only was she my student, she was also one of my most profound teachers.
