About Michael Sears

Michael Sears' journey began with a childhood that most can only dream of—traveling across the globe, immersing himself in diverse cultures, and gaining a unique perspective on the world. His early experiences ignited a lifelong passion for exploration and learning, setting the stage for an extraordinary career that would take him from the skies to the boardroom and beyond.

Michael's love for adventure and service led him to the United States Naval Academy and then the U.S. Marine Corps, as an Intel Officer and aviator. He honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of leadership under pressure. His time in the military instilled in him a commitment to duty, honor, and ethical decision-making, values that would later become central to his professional life.

Following his military service, Michael pursued dual graduate degrees at Stanford's Graduate School of Business and Law School. With his JD/MBA, he joined the boom in technology of the Silicon Valley in California. Michael's entrepreneurial drive saw him transition into the world of business, where he founded and led several successful startups. As a CEO and venture capitalist, he navigated the competitive landscape of the tech industry, investing in cutting-edge companies that were shaping the future. His ventures have spanned industries from artificial intelligence to renewable energy, all with a focus on ethical innovation and sustainable growth.

Culminating his career, Michael was appointed as the Director of the Leadership Innovation Laboratory at the U.S. Naval Academy. In this role, he merged his experience in leadership, law, and technology to mentor the next generation of leaders. Under his guidance, the laboratory became a hub for exploring the ethical implications of ethics, artificial intelligence, and the ever-evolving technological landscape.

Michael's intellectual pursuits are not confined to his professional achievements. He is the author of a critically acclaimed book that explores the intersection of AI, technology, ethics, and the human condition. In his writing, he challenges readers to consider how emerging technologies are reshaping our society and the moral responsibilities that come with these advancements.

Education

Mr. Sears holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy and earned a both a Juris Doctorate and Master of Business Administration degrees from Stanford University.
